There Is No Antimemetics Division, by qntm

You know that feeling where you pick up the book and it completely smites you, only to later fail to deliver? That's what this book is about. The "antimemetic" concept is wild. The concept of entities that have ability to censor themselves from your (well anyones) memory is world-class and jaw dropping.

It's the narrative that fails it. It might have worked better in its original format - that's web series posted in installments over 5 years should have been explored more. I can almost see this as a live "broadcast" with a huge wiki of the supporting materials and so on.

As a book it ultimately failed me though.

My rating: ★★☆☆☆[?]
