I read this one in Czech, and since it's set in Prague it might have impacted my experience a bit. Or exposed clichés even more.
And it's the cliches that were the main problem of this book. Starting with the stereotypical eastern-european portrayal of the law enforcement. And if the clichés weren't enough, it's the fact the book feels like one big product placement. Prague tourism office included. I am now richer for the knowledge that there's something called Cuyana brand and many other things.
It's been close to two decades since I have read something from Dan Brown. Probably the last one I ever will. Might work as a summer page-turner for someone in the right mood. I was not that someone.
